  1. Whats the deal with these people though seriously... I guess its hard to understand having not actually been through the experiment but just following instructions so blindly is a little mindboggling to me.

  2. I agree with you drew. One can't truly judge these participants until having been through the experiment themselves, but to follow the commands of someone who has no REAL authority over you is crazy. The story of the welder who forcibly makes the learner put his hand on the shock plate scares me (paragraph 101-107 if your interested). That and the fact that he was willing to continue well past the 450 volt mark and told the experimenter it was an honor to work with him. Word of wisdom, don't trust welders!!!

  3. It's a bit of a pointless experiment isn't it? Sure one may get insight into their own inner being and all but do humans actually want to know how horrible they can truely be? That everyone has that real 'evil' lurking about. It Could break some people or send them into a depression.

  6. So my question is why would you want to put harm on another person? If you do not want to be shocked why would you even push the button. I know I would refuse to doing the experiment. Does anyone agree?

  7. I agree I do not believe I would be able to go on with the experiment. Especially having no reason to do so.

  9. I'm curious if anyone in our class would want to participate in an experiment like this. I would like to see if anyone would act differently then what is expected. Any takers?

  10. Kylee, I would like to participate! I am extremely curious about how people will act but I would not want to use shock in theory or in reality. Maybe using something less intense would be more effective!
